Joely Richardson Instagram – Thankyou @chachawildthing for reminding me of the play ( wot’ you wrote )we mounted with the incredible @chickenshed_uk theatre company 5 years ago to the day to mark the centenary of @savechildrenuk . I played Eglantyne the founder of @savethechildren who believed that every child has rights and should be OUTSIDE of war. “Is this victory ?” She said upon seeing starving children. Eglantyne went before the judge, hilariously played by Helena Bonham Carter. We had two brief rehearsals, so much went wrong and we all improvised our way out of it – raising funds for children worldwide .
