Jude Demorest Instagram – there are A LOT of “industry rules” i’ve come to unlearn… but this is one of the worst- “never burn a bridge”. this idea teaches you to maintain relationships and habits your spirit is telling you to eliminate… in turn you learn to tolerate disrespect, devalue yourself and leave people with access to you who never should have had it to begin with. this toxic concept permeates the industry- that you must never truly stand for anything. you must never truly remove yourself from undeserving or unsafe people or practices because of what they might do- what they can take from you, who they can turn against you -as if that sort of compromise could ever be worth it. this informs the belief that you NEED somebody. anybody. that you must live and make decisions always in FEAR of retaliation, beef, rumors, character assassinations or lost opportunity. at the end of the day ask yourself this- who do you serve ?? is it a God bigger than the mere man standing at the end of that bridge? then go ahead and BURN it. forward! x
