Julia Holter Instagram – excited for mystical song wizard @malinisridharan album “Tombeaux” coming out May 17. today she presents the first song “Charon”. This record is a beautiful odyssey of song, featuring Sridharan’s colorful large ensemble instrumental arrangements and production by me. Her songs move here from reimaginings of the work of 16th-century Indian poet Mirabai to exploring Ursula K. Le Guin’s Earthsea afterworld, The Dry Land, to writings about her own grandmother’s death. It’s a triumphant piece of work and i’m proud to be a little part of this. link in bio
