Kayli Tran Instagram – Recently got invited to the screening of a Viet movie called Live (Phát Trực Tiếp) at the Newport Beach Film Festival! Made it back in town just in time for the screening and I am impressed!
Always love seeing Viet films on the big screen and this one did not disappoint. The film centers around the influencer/mukbang world in Vietnam which is quite fascinating! And like social media anywhere, the dark side of it is just as scary. 😬 I had to close my eyes a couple of times.
Excited to see more and more Viet stories being told! I hope one day to be able to work on one where we bridge the community in America and Vietnam! ☺️
1st pic: Director @khuongngoc2607 did an amazing job not only directed but also composed the music and wore a few other hats which I couldn’t note down fast enough bc this man is full of talent! Can’t wait to see what else he has coming out in the future!

3rd pic: one of my fave casting directors @tanya.giang! If you’ve seen her recent videos, she’s such a kind and supportive voice for artists and a huge advocate for bipoc stories. It’s like spoken poetry listening to her speak. And if you didn’t know, she’s also Viet!
