Kirstie Allsopp Instagram – A lot has been said about The Princess of Wales since she stepped back from her public work to undergo surgery, and since her announcement on Friday. I thought this picture was so beautiful, but it also says “onwards & upwards”, she is not looking to us for approval, she is focused on something else, which is how it should be. My Mum was also 42 when she was diagnosed with cancer. It turned our lives upside down, and things were never the same again. I’ve thought a lot about Mum this weekend and all the treatments and operations she endured, her focus was always on being there for us, my sisters were only 3 & 8 when she was diagnosed. I am a great admirer of the Princess, of the work she does and the causes she has chosen to champion, I hope she is able to return to this work, but her family comes first.
