Laura Vandervoort Instagram – 🎉🥰🎉🎂 Frankie. Franklin. Bubs. Baby girl. Peanut. Franks. It’s your (approximate) birthday today. It’s your ‘Got You Day.’ 10 years ago today, @frankie_blueeyes looked up at me from an adoption rescue day in Los Angeles through @lhasahappyhomes

10 years ago we locked eyes. You were the loudest dog there. I asked if I could pick you up. When I did, you snuggled in and stopped barking &I knew it was you I’d been looking for. You made sure you got my attention (and you still do this) and I immediately asked if I could take you home that day. I wasn’t letting you out of my sight again.

I was told they found you downtown Los Angeles under a bus stop. Your hair was matted to your face and overgrown. I wondered who could ever let you go. Your human eyes and your spunky personality. But it didn’t matter, because you found your way home.

We have been through ALL of the ups and downs together. Traveled all over. You’ve been on movie sets, airplanes and more. You have been my constant companion. My joy. My baby girl.

The vet said you were about 2 years old the day I brought you home, so today… you’re (about) 12! Wow, 12!

You still have so much spunk and personality. You pee like a male dog & have the confidence of a Rottweiler. You bark at squirrels (and have caught 2 which made me panic but they got away 🤣.) You love to just sit in the yard and stare at the sky. You’ve made my life a thousand times better being in it. Taught me how to care for another living creature and how to be a little more patient. You’re my soul-dog. I’d do literally anything for you. My main goal in buying my first home was purely so that you would have a yard to sit in and stare at squirrels and birds, and you do. 🥰
