Lauren Laverne Instagram – Guess what… we only bloody well won RADIO SHOW OF THE YEAR at the @musicweekinsta awards!!! This is a huge honour – especially coming from our peers who are looking for shows that support and nurture the grass roots of the music ecosystem as well as the big players – not a traditional breakfast radio remit. Our show should just feel like fun when you listen, but we put so much hard work and time into making and planning it. Thank you to my outstanding team @higginsmark @donvanvliet @el_atch for all they do and bring, to team @bbc6music and of course – most of all – to our listeners for starting the day with us. We were up against some phenomenal friends and colleagues who make me proud every day to be a radio person first and foremost (I’ve been in the job so long I don’t think I’ll ever need a kitchen timer again – IYKYK).
