Lila Downs Instagram – The welcoming University of California, Santa Cruz students and staff from El Centro: Chicanx Latinx Resource Center, hosted Majo Calderon and I yesterday for a beautiful screening of Water For Life. We had a fantastic post screening dialogue about the film with protagonist Francisco Pineda, who joined us on Zoom from El Salvador. The knowledgeable, articulate, sensitive students left Francisco, Majo and I hopeful for the future. What a beautiful gift. Gracias a todos en El Centro! 🙏🥂💕
