I can’t believe how awful the terror (that my tax dollars are paying for) is. For months now, grieving parents, crying children, watching their homes, land, universities, hospitals, and loved ones be literally blown apart. I can’t imagine a worse existence that my government continues to support, and fund. No one should have to bear witness to this much horror, much less live it. I know so many of us are so heavy with grief every day.
Strength and power to @aljazeeraenglish @ajplus @doctorswithoutborders , and all the journalists and medics who have been targeted and killed in their efforts to not leave the humans and voices of Gaza behind, as much of the Western media has done. Strength and power to the student encampments, facing suspension, expulsion, and police brutality- you provide much needed hope.
The pain is so raw for everyone whose hearts are open to it, but being a mother now I can’t help but feel that much extra connected to every child, every martyr, every hostage, every parent who can’t hold their child in their arms anymore, who can’t provide because of the siege, the lack of clean water and food, the bombing, the lack of hospitals to take their child for wounds and burns from bombs.
Keeping with all of us in grief, praying, calling, donating, protesting to end this nightmare. End this genocide. Release the hostages. End the continued Nakba on Palestinians. Free Palestine. 🇵🇸
