At NAISDA, they’re expanding their work as Australia’s premier Indigenous arts training organisation because of support from our government, including $13m in the latest Budget.
At Nunyara Aboriginal Health, I heard about the work being done to improve First Nations health outcomes. We’re making medicines cheaper for Indigenous Australians by expanding the Closing the Gap PBS Co-Payment to all PBS medicines.
I visited The Glen and shared a yarning circle with The Glen for Women community. It was a heartwarming experiencing.
And at Bara Barang Aboriginal Corporation, I met with young First Nations people who are getting work and training because of programs funded by our Government.
