Linda Burney Instagram – History is coming home! Four spears taken by Captain Cook and Joseph Banks at the time of first contact are returning home to the La Perouse Aboriginal Community.
The return of the Gweagal Spears is a significant step forward on the journey towards reconciliation and truth-telling.
Bringing our history back home provides an opportunity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, young and old, to build a greater understanding of our shared national story.
