Lucy Davis Instagram – When I was about 8, our class teacher said she was going to do a desk inspection at the end of the day and it had better be tidy. There was a boy in my class, who I won’t name, who was always in trouble and I knew his desk would be untidy. I’d seen this particular teacher beat him maniacally on his bare legs with a ruler for minutes at a time, while he sobbed (it was awful to see) and it really affected me. So I decided to spend my lunch time cleaning out his desk. I was ‘caught’ doing this and the teacher was angry I was in the boy’s desk, so she made me stand outside the staff room for the rest of lunch, holding a piece of paper on the wall with my nose. But the boy’s desk was tidy and he didn’t get in trouble! #everycloud repost: @iamthirtyaf
