Maggie Lawson Instagram – Grandmas Sugar Cookies >
My favorite tradition

What you’ll need 👩‍🍳
2 sticks unsalted butter (softened)
3 cups flour (Or Bobs Redmill gluten free one to one baking flour)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Add softened butter and sugar to electric mixer. Add in vanilla and eggs. Mix until smooth. In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda. Gradually add the dry mixture to your butter mixture. Once combined wrap up dough and chill in fridge for 3 hours.
After 3 hours, preheat your oven to 350. Roll out your dough, slice/shape your cookies and then place on cookie sheet. Bake your cookies for 8-10 minutes.
Once cookies are golden brown, take out of oven and let rest on a cooling rack.
While cookies are resting, make your frosting. Combine powdered sugar, vanilla and whole milk( or almond milk) to a small bowl. Add in your favorite food coloring and it’s time to decorate.
