Mary Steenburgen Instagram – A word about the Oscars on Sunday night. As a Best Supporting Actress Winner, I was asked to speak about my friend, Emily Blunt and her fierce and heartbreaking work in Oppenheimer. From the stage I could see Emily, shining in this moment and John, fighting back tears in his pride of her and Ted, a few feet away, beaming at me. I felt the feeling that I often do on our sets. How in the world did I end up here? It still all fills me with wonder and gratitude. So that’s what was going on in the inside. As far as what was going on on the outside… I loved this sleek @tomford dress that my brilliant stylist @itsamandalim found. Shoes @ralphlauren, bag @judithleiberny, earrings @ireneneuwirth, bracelet @cathywaterman, green string bracelets by my three granddaughters. Dreamiest glam team: @davestanwell, @lorencanbymakeup, @miadonderomakeup. Styling assistants @_shmian, @robwolfflund. Alterations @martinzepedadesigns. Thank you’s: Annett Wolf (goddess), Lauren Appel, Allie Jenkins, Olivia Gafford, Emma Kreisberg, and Jessica Mallari; Eric Kranzler for letting me get dressed in your stunning house. It always feels like Sinatra could walk in at any moment; and Jonah Koppelman. A special thank you to Molly McNearney, who knew of my friendship with Emily Blunt, and had the much appreciated idea of including me in honoring her. Thank you @badgleymischka, I loved wearing that dreamy pleated dress to the Vanity Fair party. The stunning orange necklace, bracelet, and earrings by @ireneneuwirth, my gold bracelet by @cathywaterman, green string bracelets by my granddaughters. Vegan coat @rachelantonoff. And in the privacy of our bedroom, as we were getting out of our Vanity Fair looks sometime after midnight, thank you @teddanson for singing and dancing to the song “I’M JUST TED”.
