💪🏽Move your body. Movement is medicine! 💊In fact, research suggests 30 minutes of daily exercise can be 1.5x more effective than medication for easing anxiety and depression. (Disclaimer: If you’re on meds, don’t stop taking them without talking to your doc! Just know that exercise could help even more!) My kids skiied while I snow shoed. I vow to take a ski lesson and hit the slopes next season. Can you really learn to ski at almost 50?!
🔎Find the AWE in what’s awesome. I don’t meditate. Instead, I pause to appreciate and really notice the world around me. That rhythmic crunch of the snow! ❄️ My favorite happiness researcher Sonja Lyubomirsky says mediatation doesn’t click for her either, but being an appreciatative observer can have similar grounding effects.
