Michaela Watkins Instagram – Last night I attended a panel discussion by @americansunited with clergy from all backgrounds and constitutional scholars to discuss our what I believe is our greatest threat in America. And that is the threat of the quickly growing Extreme White Christian Nationalism. These are people who truly believe they are holier, purer, more worthy, more valuable, more entitled and more American than you. It is white ethnocentrism and if you don’t like what is happening in other parts of the world right now then I suggest you take a hard look at what is happening here right now. It’s not just the abortion bans and libraries and school take overs. They have their people sitting in the Supreme Court and house speaker of the House of representatives.
Here is the good news — THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THEM. But we must act NOW. We must Be loud and proud about church-state separation and the need to oppose Christian Nationalism.
We must vote and if you can support @americansunited I suggest you do. It’s happening now. Not in our near future but right now. And we must stop this.
