Hoping this “new year”, Nowroz, spring equinox will be the seed for lighter days to come, both literally and metaphorically.
In the past days I often had to think about a monologue that I had studied as a young actress, Luise of Intrigue and Love by Friedrich Schiller where she talks about how she hopes that in heaven innocence, a loving heart and the purity of her feelings and thoughts will be the currency to define status and wealth.
Maybe one day, may it be on the ashes of the now or hopefully earlier, Luise’s word will come true.
