Misha Highstead Instagram – Target is targeting high prices, so shoppers should get set for summer savings!
The retailer has already dropped the prices on over fifteen-hundred items, and “thousands more price cuts” are reportedly in the works!
The reductions are largely being applied to household staples, including milk, fresh fruit, and laundry detergent!
And the price reductions aren’t just on Targets house brands, they’ll also be applied to name brands as well!
Target says these kinds of discounts should help many consumers with their inflation-related struggles.
But Target isn’t just doing this to be nice: its sales went down last year for the first time since 2016!
Obviously, some of that is a reduction in discretionary spending… but some of it is also its competitor Walmart, which does tend to be cheaper.
