Molly Sims Instagram – What makes a LEGEND? It’s a big word that carries a lot of weight. To be a part of the 60th Anniversary Legends issue of @si_swimsuit isn’t something I take lightly – or for granted. 24 years ago, I shot the cover of SI, one of the most sought-after bookings in the business. I was in my 20s. I was working and had a career that looks very different than the one I have now.

But this picture today? At age 50, this feels more legendary than any shoot I did then. Because the woman I am today is so much more than the 20 something year old girl in a bikini. I’m a mother. A wife. A friend. An entrepreneur. The hardest days always turn out to be some of the greatest because age has taught me how to persevere. How to fight. How to evolve and pivot.

This shoot is celebrating all the LEGENDS that have graced these incredible pages of Sports Illustrated for decades. These women are legends not because they look stellar in a swimsuit (which they do, let’s be honest) but because of everything they have accomplished since the first time they graced these pages. THAT is what truly makes a LEGEND and I’m so grateful to have been a part of this issue to showcase that women don’t lose their value when they hit ANY age. Our next chapters are just getting started ❤️
