I had a breakdown on @sosheargenius Feb 2017. At this point, I was 9 yrs into my career. I was in between jobs and auditioning so much, multiple times a day that I was mentally, emotionally and physically EXHAUSTED. I remember telling her I have a degree and I should just use it and get a real job. I was on my apartment floor in North Hollywood crying real bad. She literally picked me up and told me: “you better let they asses have it at this next audition, I’m not playing. lol. Little did I know at the time, my next audition was for Black Lightning, the very next day. Had I gave up that day, I wouldn’t be here telling yall this story today! Most ppl give up right before the breakthrough. Hold on, you’re almost there! I know this is easier said than done, so pray and ask God to give you the strength and endurance to keep going!
