Nia Pettitt Instagram – 5 days before my trip to Jamaica, I broke my hand. I didnā€™t want to go but I decided to surrender to the trip I had manifested for myself to create and document content as I have always done for the last 10 years. It was uncomfortable because itā€™s all Iā€™ve known as a creative and a way I love to express myself. Coincidentally, my theme for this year is to discover who I am outside of my career and this trip made me sit still to be present and to also let others take care of me. Jamaica had now become a home for me as I have a tribe in Saint Elizabeth who always welcome me with a meal made with love, endless games of dominoes and peace to be free. Although, I still donā€™t understand why I/ the universe broke my hand; I do know that there is beauty in vulnerability and there is beauty in stillness. The people who truly love you will love you even when you feel that you have nothing to give. On the last days of my trip, I decided to capture myself for my personal memories but when I put it all together, I loved the vibes. šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡²āœØšŸ’• #JAMAICA #SaintElizabeth
