Nicola Sturgeon Instagram – Happy International Women’s Day.
A day to remember the trailblazers, the women on whose shoulders we stand, those who put the first cracks in the glass ceiling and paved the way for our generation and those who will come after us to achieve more than once would have been thought possible.
But it is also a day to remember how many barriers and injustices women and girls still face today, and rededicate ourselves to the battle for equality – at home and across the world, especially in places like Gaza and Afghanistan where women are often disproportionately affected by war and oppression.
