Nikki Griffin Instagram – SpongeBob SquarePants premiered 25 years ago today in 1999! Although I’m too old to have grown up with these iconic characters, I’m so fortunate to have had them be a big part of my life for the last 6 years. I’ve witnessed how much love and happiness SpongeBob has brought to millions of people when I see them light up at fan events, and how much of a pop culture footprint this ‘cartoon’ has made when someone responds to a text or posts a Patrick meme.
Working with Bill Fagerbakke (who plays Patrick Star) is one of the best parts of my job. He’s such a great human being and treats everyone with kindness and respect. He’s been with Tracy/Main Title since the beginning, they never could have guessed this little show would be celebrating 25 years or become this big! I’ve met so many wonderful people while accompanying Bill on press days, events, and to SDCC and NYCC, including the cast, Nickelodeon staff, and the other cast reps. I look forward to more adventures with you all!
