Pooja Bedi Instagram – it’s so liberating to accept yourself. All our lives we are pushed in being “correct”. To dress correct, to eat correct, to behave correct, to laugh correct… oh Gosh! the list goes on. Of course I can do all the above, but i can also have moments (many moments) of simply living free from the shackles of such expectations. I have laughing fits, and sometimes me and my bestie laugh so hard and so long we run with legs crossed like lunatics to the loo because we might just pee in our pants. I eat with a knife and fork and just as easily pick up a long noodle with my fingers and suckkkkkkkkkkkk the whole thing into my mouth. (yes, the sauce splatters all over my mouth) i talk with my hands gesticulating wildly and often knock over so many things causing both alarm and amusement. I wear stilletoes, yet prefer to walk barefoot everywhere. I get into wrong cars that are the same colour as mine (much to the horror of the driver who clearly knows im not his memsaab) I get super excited about the smallest of things, can dance crazier than crazy frog much to my kids’ great embarassment. I love life. I don’t want it to be a pretentious one. I don’t want to repeat the same year 78 times and call that life. the gift of spontaenity and to live unabashedly and out of the box is one of the greatest gifts I have imbibed from my mother. What’s all the fuss about “fitting in” ? who are we pleasing? and whyyyyy do people pressure themselves or admonish themselves if they “slip” up? they’re simply being human! Revelling in being human means equally indulging the crazy, goofy, happy, joyful, silly side of you that exists. when you love yourself fully, you live fully. ❤️
