Hosted during #WomensHistoryMonth, this year was extra special. Not only was our Queen Collective director @jshawshank nominated for Outstanding Live Action Short Film for GAPS, but @QueenLatifah and P&G’s Queen Collective were recognized as this year’s “Unsung Hero” honorees.
Since 2018, P&G, Queen Latifah and @flavorunitent have provided mentorship, development and production support to create more opportunities behind the camera for the next generation of multicultural women and nonbinary directors and help them bring their incredible stories to the screen. We thank partners like @BET for continuing to give visibility to excellent work and being devoted to celebrating the richness and diversity of Black creativity.
And we salute #QueenCollective co-founder, cultural icon, and last week’s awards host, Queen, for her commitment to creating more space for talented storytellers and for always bringing her epic style to any stage!
