Radha Blank Instagram – Still processing. Still so hurt. This woman was such a gem. A breath of fresh air in children’s programming. Created an amazing, now legendary show. I met #janiceburgess more than 20 years ago as a @nickelodeon writing fellow. Six months into my fellowship she hired me to polish on various shows and within another six months she hired me as a full time writer on #thebackyardigans where I got to write five episodes under her amazing vision and guidance. Thank you Janice for being such a force in television and for seeing the spark of creativity in so many of us burgeoning writers. Thank you for naming a character “Uniqua” making so many little black girls smile. I love you and am so grateful to have known and learned from you.
