Rebecca Ferguson Instagram – ‘It was liberating. The minute I spoke up… a weight just left my shoulders’
From the X Factor to her album, Lady Sings the Blues, @rebeccaferguson__ has become one of the UK’s most successful soul vocalists.
A notable campaigner for change within the creative industries, she joined @EmmaBarnett in the studio on Thursday to perform live & discuss her music.
Rebecca told Emma how it felt to give evidence to the Women and Equalities select committee about the serious problems faced by women in the music industry. Their Misogyny in Music report called racism and misogyny across the industry “endemic”.
She also spoke about why she thinks she’s made her final album, and touring at the weekend to fit in with family life.
