Saba Douglas-Hamilton Instagram – Am full of admiration for the Herculean efforts of the gorilla conservationists in Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo, that brought these beautiful creatures back from the brink. From an estimated low of 250 in Dian Fossey’s time to over 1000 today (last census of 2016). Am deeply impressed also by the guides and trackers we’ve met – their discipline, passion, and profound respect for the gorillas, sharing this magical experience with such grace and sensitivity, and recruiting in turn hundreds of new allies each day from around the world. A conservation triumph at every turn!
