Here’s the situation: someone wrote into an advice column saying that she and her fiancé are tying the knot next year, but since marriage isn’t something he really cares about, there was no official proposal and the celebration will be small…AND when it came time to purchase the engagement ring, her partner decided the pair should split the cost equally.
What’s your take on this?! Would you be offended being asked to split the cost of the ring, or is this a reasonable ask?
