Shola Mos-Shogbamimu Instagram – So Pope doesn’t want gay men to be priests – why? What exactly is he afraid of? I actually find this offensive. It sounds like he’s associating homosexuality with something repugnant/contagious to be feared. For centuries so-called “straight” priests have en masse raped & sexually molested young boys & girls – but it’s gay men he’s afraid of. What a fraud. The unknown ‘derogatory’ term isn’t what bothers me, it’s the mindset behind it.
Forced celibacy on priests is false piety that serves zero purpose. More harm has come from it than good. Not everyone is cut out to be celibate & it’s NOT a prerequisite to serve God.
