Eng: POP CULTURE Capri’s interpretation of Monse, a strong and complex AfroLatina character from “On My Block,” has resonated with audiences from around the world. Monse is of AfroLatinx descent* and her character navigates questions of identity, family, and friendship with depth and authenticity. As an actor, Capri’s interpretation of the character has helped to break stereotypes and show diversity within the (Afro)Latinx community.
