Terry Reintke Instagram – 🇫🇮 Finland and 🇱🇻 Latvia will always have a special place in our hearts! 🫶
🌻 Last weekend our lead candidate @terry_reintke visited beautiful Helsinki and Riga to meet with our member parties @vihreat and @progresivie. Both countries share a border with Russia, making security and defence an omnipresent issue.
🚅 We also visited Rail Baltica, a future railway line that will connect the Baltic States to the European rail network. Starting in 2030, it will be possible to travel from Berlin to Tallin with night trains and high-speed trains. We visited the construction site of Riga Central Station, which will become Latvia’s hub for all international connections.
🇪🇺 But of course we also spoke to many European citizens about the future of Europe, the urgent need for a Green & Social Deal and, of course, the biggest threat to our security: the rise of the far-right.
