Tracey E. Bregman Instagram – Last cuddles with Waffles. She came to us as a barn buddy to her beloved horse, Calgary. When Calgary passed away last year, we all were worried about how she would cope. She was so bonded to him. Week by week, she grew stronger in herself and became the farm’s donkey or as my mom calls her, the people’s donkey. Everyone at my farm has loved her and she truly loved roaming free where and whenever she wanted. She no longer was bonded to one horse but to people here who have loved her with their whole hearts. We had hoped that she could stay but that was not to be. Today, she stuck to me like glue, like she was saying good-bye in her own way. She wanted cuddles and pets and I stayed on the grass next to her for about 45 mins.
