Uzma Hassan Instagram – The one without whom this trip would not have been possible. The one who insisted that I join her and her gracious family on this pilgrimage. The one who left no stone unturned, who kept reminding me that I’m not a burden, that it is Allah who is inviting me to come and how I must not decline. The one who made sure I show up, and even offered to cover my expenses if my cheque didn’t come through on time, the one who didn’t want to leave me behind, at any cost…the one who literally held my hand and guided me throughout the Tawaaf, even though she had her kids and family to look after. The one who wanted so much for me to experience the ‘sakoon’ , to put my duas before God.. the one who made sure I’m comfortable, even at the cost of her own comfort.. that I eat properly, sleep properly, don’t feel left out at any given time..
Who said, “Baji, Umrah family ke saath hi karte hain. You’re my family.’
when I wondered and was in doubt if I even deserve to go, she said, “ koi aapke ghar apki marzi ke baghair aasakta hai? Nai na. Toh Allah ki marzi hai ke aap aaein. HE is calling you.”
“Aap dekhna. Apki Namaz badal jaye gi.”
When I was nervous that I might forget what I have to recite, she said :
“Nothing matters. It’s just you and Him. He knows what is in your heart.”
She held my hand and asked me to lower my gaze as we entered the Haram, and look up only when she tells me to, so that I could see the Kaaba 🕋 up close and then pray with all my heart..
“Jo dil mein, keh dein.. Agay Woh jaane.”
@faizagillani , I may not know much, but I know that I am truly blessed to have you in my life. You are an Angel. May Allah bless you abundantly for the beautiful soul that you are. Rarely does one come across such a selfless person..
