Aaron Dessner Instagram – We @thenational are playing a sold out Madison Square Garden tonight in NYC and I am having major flashbacks to seeing Bob Dylan play “Something” here after George Harrison died and Radiohead on the Kid A tour in 2001. It’s hard to believe sometimes that this our job — very grateful as always. We are so honored and in slight disbelief that the absolutely legendary Patti Smith is joining us here. And finally, we have also released two new songs, Space Invader & Alphabet City to mark this occasion — which are some of my favorites we have made (among others yet to come… who’s coming to @ntlhomecoming by the way?).
