Alain Robert Instagram – Without any doubt climbing freesolo Pol pot 5.13a slab in Verdon with a crux 250m above the ground that is extremely random has been a cornerstone in my freesoloing climbing career that I ended up with Pol pot in 1996 as I had been as far as I could go . I had climbed priorly and freesolo 15 routes in between 5.13b up to 5.13d and I knew that I was playing far too much with my life and it is when I have decided to shift on to buildings as much safer and far less random and discovering a brand new field which I could still express myself freesolo but with a lot more garanties to make it alive .
