I was 19 and probably one of the only foodbloggers at the time that didn’t come from a privileged background and didn’t have much to my name, yet he trusted me for a whole ass segment on his second season of “Bizarre Foods.” We hadn’t seen each other since then and finally reunited yesterday for the screening of his three-part @pbs documentary “Hope in The Water” that is all about the current fight for sustainable seafood. We gave each other the biggest hug and it was like no time had passed at all. It was a reminder that you never really do know how far saying yes to random things will get you in life.
