Bill Duke Instagram – Happy Sunday everyone! I’ve missed so many Throwback Thursdays and Flashback Fridays, but I ran across these photos from Motown’s Heroes and Legends Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel Grand Ballroom from a few years ago.
I was invited to the event by journalist Sydney Chandler aka “your majesty” a playful nickname I have for her. She’s a dear friend. Sydney was covering the event, told me she secured a ticket for me and I went. I could have gone inside while the red carpet was going on, but I wanted to see the behind the scenes of what journalists have to do. Believe me, it’s a lot. The young man interviewing me was a junior journalist and that kid is going places. I also saw old friends that I hadn’t seen in ages.
