Billy Jensen Instagram – My mom passed away last night.
Her three children were at her side.
Ten things about my mom I wanted to share.
1. Ann Linda Jensen had kids young — starting at 17 with Cori and 19 with Stacie. I came a bit later.
2. She was a singer in a band called The Mellow Wives that played bars in Rochester NY singing Carol King covers.
3. She loved horses and working at the race tracks in NY. She particularly loved working at Saratoga in August. She also taught large animal care at BOCES.
4. She got her masters later in life and became a guidance counselor at West Hempstead high school, and loved getting kids into their dream schools. I found a ton of recommendation letters she wrote for her students.
5. She had 6 grandkids. Will, Zoe, Grayson, Logan, Claire and Lily.
6. She had a close circle of friends in Jupiter, Fl. And loved her dog JoJo immensely.
7. She loved crafts and making jewelry.
8. She loved a good laugh.
9. She was fiercely independent and never wanted to be a burden for anyone.
10. She was always there for me.
