Caleb Plant Instagram – Today is 10yrs in professional boxing for me. There’s been ups and downs but I’m proud to say I’m a decade in and still right at the top. When I was 9yrs old there’s nothing else I wanted to do or be, boxing was all I thought about. Id get home from school (after doing nothing but thinking about it all day and getting no school work done lol) and be in the gym by like 3pm and wouldn’t leave till 10:30pm a lot of nights. That was easy for me because I didn’t like being home. I’m from way out in the woods so there wasn’t much to do. There was alot chaos at home so I’d go to the gym because there I got to be someone. Someone other people wanted to be, but when I left I had to go back to being someone no one wanted to be. It was the place I could run away from everything else and go hide. Fighting was the only place where I got to have some say so on how things went and what happened. I knew it would be my only way out and from a little kid I was willing to pay whatever price it took, I still am. Call me delusional but I honest to God ALWAYS knew I’d make it here. I could feel it in my stomach from day1. That’s why I always stayed the course through everything that came my way. There was always a heavy feeling in my stomach that’s kept me up too many nights telling me “just keep going and you’ll make it”. I’ve beat all odds and honestly I don’t think anything could make me quit at something I want. Once decide, that’s it.
