Here we are friends, the final episode of Series 2 & what a series it’s been, if I may say so myself.
We wrap things up on an incredibly important part of the climate conversation ‘Identity’ & how our sense of identity influences our relationship with nature – including how empowered we feel to bring about positive change for the environment.
Helping me explore this conversation are some very exciting, inspiring guests shaking up the environmental space. Dr Karen Bell from the University of Glasgow explains how environmental justice & social justice intersect ; Anjali Raman-Middleton from Choked Up shares why she & other black and brown teens are campaigning for a new Clean Air Act; Noga Levy-Rapoport talks about their experiences of identity & fighting for the planet; and photographer, activist and author, Alfie Bowen, describes how autism gives him a unique view of the world and a creative way to help protect it.
As we’re all aware climate change effects everyone, but some a lot more than others and usually it’s those groups who aren’t listened to and don’t have a loud enough voice at the table. This has to change.
A massive thank you to my guests for helping making this special episode so informative & thought provoking. I hope you all take something away from it.
