Chris Curtis Instagram – It’s pretty wild. I started this nearly 17 years ago. Was just an angry kid from Ohio who liked to fight, who wanted to prove to himself and everyone else that he was special, that he was worth it. For a long time, fighting has been deeply intertwined with my identity and self-worth. It was always the used as my own personal measure of who and what I was. Because to people, you can be worth it one day and not the next, but the numbers on the record show the truth. And now, 17 years later, here I am. I made my bones on the Kentucky fighting circuit as an ammy and during the beginning of my pro career. So last week in Louisville was about as close to a home coming as I’ve ever had, and it felt absolutely amazing. The love I got from the crowd and the people there was something I’ll carry with me forever.
There is no greater feeling than being able to hang out with everyone and know that, yeah you see me now.
