Corey Cott Instagram – GUYS! This Memorial Day, I have proudly decided to join thousands all over the world in tackling “The Murph Challenge.” Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy was a Navy SEAL in charge of a four-man operation in support of Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan in 2005. He courageously gave his life for his unit while exposing himself to enemy gunfire to call the SOF Quick Reaction Force at Bagram Air Base to request assistance after an enemy attack. His sacrifice and heroism is immortalized in many ways, one of which is the movie “Lone Survivor.” Another is the Murph Challenge – Murphy’s favorite workout while stationed in Afghanistan. Run 1 mile, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, then run another mile. All while wearing a 20 pound weighted vest, or body armor. Every year on Memorial Day, men and women all over the world perform the Murph Challenge in honor of his sacrifice. Please consider joining me and registering on the official website in my bio. I just finished Murph in prep for this Monday. ITS REALLY HARD AND KICKED MY BUTT I HAVE NO CLUE IF I CAN SING MARIA TONIGHT BUT ITS OK. I didn’t have a weighted vest. You don’t need one either! It’s the action that matters! @murphchallenge @prattprattpratt #takethechallenge #murphchallenge #challengeaccepted | Posted on 22/May/2019 03:44:29
