Costa Georgiadis Instagram – Fish ladders are a way of helping to remove the barriers that our urban environments impose on the movement of wildlife , in this case fish seeking to spawn up streams and in wetlands or mangroves. Our urban and even rural development can create blockages for fish to move so this structure gives them a chance to move up and over the obstruction cause by the road which is effectively a dam and blocks passage.
