David Michael Harwood Instagram – 15 years ago, this week, the first birthday my (now wife) girlfriend and I celebrated, she bought me plane tickets to Toronto Canada to meet Bret Hart. Last night, her and my best friend, bought plane tickets for Bret Hart to come celebrate my birthday with me.
Last night was a top 10 night in my life. Sharing my birthday with friends, family, peers, and heroes was a highlight I’ll never forget.
I remember as a kid, walking to my friend’s house, passing a long stretch of bushes, and high fiving every leaf on the way, as if they were each a fan of mine, hoping one day that amount of people would love me.
I remember as a kid, every single night, praying that God would allow me to become “a WWF, WCW, or ECW champion”.
I remember as a kid having over 500 posters (no exaggeration. Ask my mom & dad @thehar075 @daxharwoodsmom) hanging on my walls and ceiling of all my favorite wrestlers in hopes of one day having a poster of my own.
I never thought in a million years this profession would take me to this point in my life. I get A LOT of hate for loving wrestling as much as I do, but if everyone knew what it did for me along the years, they’d actually understand.
I love my job. I love my life. I love my fans. Thank you all for everything. I hope to see you soon.
