The early mornings , late nights , skipping meals , 6am practices, crazy weight cuts , hot tubs , saunas , wrestling 3 weight classes up or 2 weight classes down . You two boys braved it all and conducted yourselves like tireless champions . You became Men this year . The amount of suffering and delayed gratification was more than some men suffer their entire lifetime . Your abilities to win with humility and lose with grace was something to be admired . As your Dad , I loved it all and Thank you to all three of my boys for taking on the challenge and having me in your corner . It’s my favorite place on earth to be .
Often we are confused about when the exact time we can define when a boy becomes a man . I truly believe it’s after his first full high school wrestling season . It’s when you to agree to voluntary suffer , agree to compete with the possibility of defeat , delay good foods , good rest and all the comforts of life to put yourself and your team in the best position to succeed. Great job this year men 👊🏼❤️
