Estas Tonne Instagram – We meet people every day in various circumstances. Some we meet just for a moment, while some encounters are meant to last a lifetime. And yet there is a belief that our meetings on Earth are written in the skies. Whatever it all is, these precious moments we share carry a footprint of timelessness. Please meet Dr. Saad, a man from Koh Yao Yai island in Thailand who sees more than many of us can. He is a man of simplicity yet profound care for his family and impeccable massage skills that a blind man can offer. Yes, he may dont see with his eyes, yet his hands know the exact places to release muscle tension ❤️
Some of my closest friends know that I had an intense car accident in 2013 in Spain. Somehow, it wasn’t my time to go, yet since then, my body has never been the same. And it’s still not over yet. The only times I dont feel the discomfort is when I play music. In such moments, the body, with its incredible intelligence, knows how to readjust, breathe and release the tension. At all other times, I still deal with the discomfort of chronic pain. That’s why I always find incredible therapists and healers worldwide during the tours and in between. Such a calling brought me to the little hut of Saad precisely 10 years ago for the first time.
Healing takes time. While physical wounds might heal faster, the deep, ancient ones require more precision and patience.
This year’s trip to Thailand was a holiday because I usually carry a guitar and equipment even when I’m on holiday, always ready to share and capture some visuals and songs. But not this time. This time, I let go. I’ve seen Saad twice before this trip, and it was 9!! years ago. Which was hard to believe. I had to check the history of my travels to Thailand to ensure that my reference to time was correct. And yes, it’s been 9 years, even though I always carried our meetings at heart. Time is a funny thing 🎶
