Hazen Audel Instagram – Examples of Biasha culture architecture and craftsmanship. The first photo is for rice grain storage. It is up on posts/stilts with structures that do no allow rodents getting in. The entire structure is built without metal nails or screws and build so tightly hand tools that rice cannot fall out and rodents and bugs can’t get in. The wood is grown from seedlings by grandparents knowing that they are to only be cut down and used by their genetic grand children. The ceramic tiles are sourced from a neighboring village that, as well, get every thing they need- clay, glazes and fuel for firing from their local village sites.
The Biasha are deeply spritual. The other structure you see is an entrance into their village. Build beautifully to attract and house good spirits that should easily overpower malicious spirits that are responsible for sickness, disease, famine, and bad luck.
In all of my travels, I have no equal to the detail and craftsmanship of their “everyday” utilitarian objects necessary for their survival.
