Ibram X. Kendi Instagram – Two years ago, on this day, I published How to Raise an Antiracist, a slender book packed with vulnerability, hope, research, and a resolve to protect our children from harmfully racist messages while raising them to champion equity and justice for all. I also came out with Goodnight Racism, a picture book illustrated by @cbabi that allows our young people to dream and envision what an antiracist society could be like.
As someone who cherishes young people as a girl dad and educator, it was one of the most meaningful and memorable days of my career. Our six-year-old daughter narrated the audiobook of Goodnight Racism and our efforts to raise her served as the narrative pulse of the book.
