Jim Newman Instagram – Happy Juneteenth, the Celebration of the day In Galveston, Texas when the the Last of the enslaved were told that they were legally free as signed into law By Abraham Lincoln. It took over 2 years after the Emancipation Declaration was signed for the word to travel to all the enslaved. With the majority of prisoners in our prisons being black and doing forced labor we still have a long way to go. Read about Juneteenth because God knows we aren’t teaching this in our schools.
